Bio-remodelling is the first of its kind, a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid (HA) moisturising treatment. It contains the highest concentration of HA ever in injectables on the market. It is made up of both high and low weight molecular HA.

This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into the skin, it stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.

Expected results are seen six to eight weeks after the second treatment.

Two to three treatments, four weeks apart are required for optimal results.

One further maintenance treatment is required every six to 12 months to maintain the results.

Slight discomfort can occur with any injection. Very fine needles are used for bio-remodelling injections therefore is it relatively painless.

Individual results may vary. The face is very vascularised. Although significant bruising is uncommon, minimal bruising can occur. A consultation is required to determine the risk of bruising. Those who consume prescribed blood-thinning medications and vitamins such as fish oil are at increased risk of bruising. Please consult your practitioner before ceasing any medications. Alcohol consumption can also increase the risk of bruising.

There is minimal downtime with bio-remodelling treatment although some side effects may include the follow:

·      Redness at injection site

·      Bruising

·      Swelling

These symptoms usually subside in a couple of days. More severe, although uncommon, side effects include severe bruising and swelling. A full list of possible side effects is discussed during your consultation. During this time you are assessed for risk factors that may contribute to potential side effects.

Although relatively small doses are used for cosmetic purposes, there are certain circumstances where bio-remodelling treatments are not appropriate. Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding or attempting to fall pregnant should not receive dermal fillers. Although there is little research that has been done on this, here at Enhancing Aesthetics Australia we will not take that risk.

Patients who have certain medical conditions or take certain medications may also not be suitable to receive dermal fillers. Bio-remodelling must not be used in concurrence with treatments such as laser resurfacing and medium deep skin-peeling. A thorough consultation is required to assess individual suitability.

Generally there is no specific preparation required for bio-remodelling treatments. Please DO NOT wear make-up to your appointment as this will need to be removed and can hold up your treatment and appointments following yours. It is recommended that you follow an at home skin care regime. This will optimise your results. If you feel faint with needles, please ensure you eat prior to your appointment.

Your aftercare requirements are discussed at length during your consultation. Please note that aftercare instructions are given to you to ensure optimal results from your treatment. Some of those instructions include avoiding the following:

·    Physical strain, headfirst movements and sports the day of and the day after treatment

·    Strenuous exercise for 24 hours

·    Cosmetic therapies for the first two days after the treatment

·    Touching the area for 24 hours

·    Makeup for 24 hours

·    Excess alcohol for 24 hours

·    Facial massages or treatments for two weeks

·    Sauna, steam bath, icy temperatures or UV radiation by the sun or a solarium for two weeks after the treatment

·    Dental procedures for two weeks after the treatment

·    Filler injections in the same area, microdermabrasion, chemical peel, IPL two weeks after the treatment

·    Fractional resurfacing 4 weeks after the treatment

First two treatments are $1750.

For some clients with advanced skin laxity and signs of aging, a third treatment may be required four weeks post the second treatment. This is $700.

Yearly maintenance is $900.

Although our injector is qualified to perform your treatments, the products used are schedule 4 substances and therefore require a script from a doctor or cosmetic nurse practitioner. The script is then valid for 12 months before renewal of the script is required.

Individual results may vary. All clients require a consultation prior to cosmetic injectables. This can be done in the same session as your treatment. As these results are not permanent, repeated sessions every 12 to 18 months are required to maintain results.
